Nansen is a leading blockchain analytics platform that empowers investors and professionals with real-time, actionable insights derived from on-chain data.About the role We're looking for a talented and committed Analytics Engineer to join Nansen's BI team, reporting directly to our Head of Business Intelligence. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers decision-making across Nansen, with a focus on blockchain data, trading, and staking analytics. Our BI team works at the intersection of data, engineering, and product teams, building downstream data models and making our internal data a genuine competitive advantage. Our technology stack includes: Google Cloud Platform, dbt, BigQuery, Clickhouse, Metabase, and Fivetran. Your responsibilities

Develop and own core data models that enable faster, better decisions across the organisation Design, develop, and support data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting systems to solve business operations, user, and product problems Build internal tools leveraging AI to 10x team productivity and enable self-serve analytics Work closely with analysts and finance to create, test, and maintain data models for our analytics, trading, and staking products Transform and model blockchain data (on-chain transactions, DeFi protocols, trading activity) into actionable datasets Take initiative and ownership of solutions to data quality and workflow challenges Drive scalable approaches to data governance and observability Leverage AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor) throughout the development lifecycle - from SQL generation to pipeline development to documentation

Your experience

Experience leading data warehousing and modeling projects, ideally in a fast-growth environment Exceptional SQL and data modeling skills Strong proficiency in Python Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling First-hand experience building tools or improving processes with AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, etc. Deep understanding of blockchain data, on-chain analytics, and crypto markets (or strong willingness to learn) Nice to haves: Experience with Fivetran or similar ETL tools, data observability tooling
