Web3 DeFi Analyst

We are looking for a DeFi Analyst to join the PureStake team and support our development efforts in and around the Moonbeam Network (https://moonbeam.network/). The ideal candidate has experience with defi protocols such as AMMs, Stableswaps, Lending and Borrowing protocols, Stablecoins, Bridges, and other building DeFi primitives. They also need to be comfortable with a broad range of activities in web3 domain including discussing protocol design and deployment considerations, protocol performance modeling and analysis, and interacting directly with and supporting protocol development teams. This role will be part of the Strategy group reporting to the Strategy Lead.

We are creating a public, permissionless, developer oriented blockchain that is optimized for cross chain use cases and that will be a key part of the Polkadot network. The position will require the ability to quickly understand the design and mechanisms of existing and new crypto projects as well as the ability to analyze complex multi-protocol defi scenarios. You will be supported by operations, strategy, and technical resources on the team, but you need to be able to carry conversations with partners and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and support DeFi projects in the Moonbeam ecosystem.
• Support ecosystem development efforts with new project teams.
• Model and analyze performance of DeFi protocols and of the Moonbeam ecosystem as a whole using KPIs and other metrics.
• Project manage key initiatives including tracking issues, communicating with key stakeholders, managing timelines and commitments.
• Run operational meetings efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelors + 1-2 years experience (ideally a technical or finance degree / position).
• Experience in the crypto / web3 space and familiarity with common defi protocols.
• Knowledge of Ethereum is highly desirable.
• Work experience in capital markets is desirable.
• Ability to create models using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to write blogs on defi and other web3 topics.
