Web3 Head of Social Partnerships

The Role

The MobileCoin’s Business Development team's goal is to get $MOB as a payment method and/or wallet in social and messaging applications around the world. Our unique business offering leverages the low-cost, fast, and private payments of MobileCoin. They will formulate the roadmap and oversee deliverables for cross-functional teams. You will play a key role in our partnership development as we engage with innovation partners and refine our go-to-market. You will work closely with the cross-functional team to give market feedback that informs product development. This role will include 35% international travel.

The role reports to the Head of Business Development.

What you'll be doing:

  • Identify & evaluate new business, product & partnership opportunities and represent our team thoughtfully as our first point of contact with industry. Run and grow existing partnerships; identify new areas of collaboration and opportunities with high-value partners.
  • Manage new partnerships discussions end-to-end, including origination, qualification, scoping, negotiation, and contracting.
  • Lead technical and business negotiations in conjunction with our legal team & leadership to develop custom partnership agreements and repeatable templates to scale to future partnerships.
  • Identify new opportunities and make the case internally for why they help move the business forward.
  • Establish evaluation criteria for highest priority partnerships in tandem with leadership
  • Contribute market feedback to a cross-functional team for product design insights and maintaining close contact between our engineering team and ‘the real world.’
  • Influence without authority, working with technical and cross-functional teams (who do not report into this role) to get things done.
  • Supporting the Developer Relations program at MobileCoin.
  • Presenting at technical conferences around the world.
  • Develop a team culture of ownership, teamwork, and empathy that reinforces the core values of MobileCoin.

You might be a good fit if you have:

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to build out Partnerships at MobileCoin. Ideally, 5-7+ years experience building partnerships.
  • Strong written ability and a willingness to build an online presence - centered around privacy, payments, and MobileCoin.
  • An understanding of the evolving challenges of development and product teams at scale and how companies interact with third-party dependencies.
  • A technical background and ability to get into the finer details of our protocol and SDKs.
  • Experience managing cross-functional internal stakeholders and building senior-level partner relationships.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can communicate effectively with executives as well as engineers from a wide range of technical backgrounds.
  • Comfort-level with +35% of travel (post-COVID).

Location: The office is based out of San Francisco, but remote candidates will be considered.
