Socious is a community app for social/environmental impact powered by AI and blockchain. Many people are interested in contributing to impact projects, but few of them can do so. We leverage this untapped potential by helping them contribute to society in an easy, fun way through AI recommendations, impact visualization, and rewards in crypto tokens.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• Planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system design
• Designing, building and configuring applications to meet business process and application
  requirements
• Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience
• Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership
• Writing testable, scalable and efficient code and parcipate in code reviews

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience (or equivalent skills) in software development, especially with PHP Laravel, MySQL, AWS
• A strong passion for social impact (previous experience with social impact organizations is an asset)
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is an asset
• Strong knowledge of common algorithms and data structures
• Strong knowledge of blockchains is an asset
• Strong knowledge of concurrency and writing efficient and safe multithreaded code
• You possess good communication skills
