About you

We are looking for our next family member to make web3 human so that we can achieve our vision of democratizing access to the decentralized web and help people on their journey to economic freedom. We are in a stage of hypergrowth and in the next few years, we expect to onboard 100s of millions of people to the crypto ecosystem with MetaMask. This role is expected to have an impact on all strategic objectives of MetaMask.

We’re hiring a content designer to lead the in-product content creation and UX writing for the MetaMask mobile and extension products. You’ll work closely with product designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers. This is the first hire in this position at MetaMask, so we’re looking for someone with strong experience in content design who can set up processes and eventually grow out a content team.

About the role:

• Be hands-on—writing and editing copy across important experiences. This includes the smallest microcopy to the most visible headlines and everything in between.
• Partner cross-functionally to understand user and product needs to design in-product content and experiences that are simple and easy to understand.
• Help the Product Design team become more efficient by developing processes and workflows for working with Content Design.
• Contribute to product content strategy as well as produce and present final UX copy for our products.
• Apply metrics, data, design research, user testing, customer support insights, and more to inform content and language decisions.
• Work closely with the design systems teams to improve the language across all surfaces, and establish and share writing guidelines and components.
• Manage and prioritize your workload of multiple projects with different collaborators.
• Continue building a solid foundation for a growing Content Design discipline as our organization scales.

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience producing user-focused product writing through work in tech, digital agencies, or other relevant product areas.
• A portfolio with examples of previous content design work specifically showing how you improved user experience on large-scale programs through language, from interface copy to >
• Experience being embedded in a product design team with whom you'll collaborate closely.
• Comfort providing feedback on UI/UX designs, asking thoughtful questions about product strategy, and applying insights from quantitative and qualitative research.
• Experience using design software tools like Figma and Sketch.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, HCI, or equivalent practical experience
