Web3 Quality Assurance Engineer Lead (Product)

Compensation: $63k - $100k estimated

About the role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer Lead you would be leading a team that ensures we deliver a quality product to our customer.

The correctness of the data we provide to our customer through our SaaS web-app is very important to us and the Nansen community, and your contributions to the team will therefore have a big impact.

A profile able to conjugate manual ad-hoc testing of the product frontend and automated testing would be ideal, but specialists in either of the two areas will be considered too.

You can be locatedanywhere in the world, as our work is 100% online.

The position isfull-time.

What will you be doing?

Your duties will include:

  • An overarching but co-shared responsibility for quality of our web-app: data, graphics, functionality and text
  • Manual testingof our frontend, performing QA on new releases in the development environment and then in the production environment, working in tandem with our developers and off tasks/bugs
  • Designing, creating, running and maintaining scripts forautomated testingof the frontend of our platform (familiarity with using tools such asCypress is welcome)
  • Creating reportsto display the results of the automated tests
  • Performingaudits on data extracts(CSV/Excel) to ensure alignment in the data contained in different releases
  • Being part of the overall conversation about quality, requirements, testing and design, communicating continuously with our product owner, developers and designers

Are you the right person for this role?

The ideal candidate for us has:

  • 5+ years experience as a Sr QA tester for front end, software quality engineer or a similar role
  • A methodical approach to work and the ability to perform tasks consistently and precisely
  • An eye fordetail, but is pragmatic and able toget things done fast
  • Excellent communication skills when it comes towriting bug reports
  • An ability toself-organizein a remote-first work environment
  • The flexibility to cater forvariable daily workloads
  • Bonus: 3+ years of experience with Selenium or Cypress as a plus
  • Bonus: 3+ years of experience in API testing, using Postman or similar tools
  • Bonus: you have a passion for crypto
  • Bonus: you have strong writing and proof-reading skills
