The Director of Data Science will be responsible for shaping and executing the data strategy at Trustless Engineering.
This role requires a deep expertise in building and managing large data lakes, handling high-speed data ingestion, and navigating the rapidly evolving technological landscape of web3.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a strong motivation to "Just Do It".
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement the overall data science strategy in alignment with the company’s goals and vision.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing data science team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and prioritize data-driven projects that align with business objectives.
Data Infrastructure & Management
- Architect and manage scalable data lakes to store and process vast amounts of data efficiently.
- Ensure robust data governance practices are in place to maintain data quality, security, and compliance.
- Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines to handle extremely fast ingestion rates and ensure seamless data flow.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the data science domain.
- Implement best practices for data analysis, model development, and performance evaluation.
- Foster a data-driven culture across the organization, promoting the use of data insights to drive decision-making.
Requirements:
- Core understanding of the Solana blockchain and it's data structures.
- Proficiency with data science tools and platforms (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for data storage and processing.
- Familiarity with MLOps platforms like Ray, Kubeflow, Argo Workflows) for data pipelining.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
