Web3 Rust Engineer

This role will be integral for R&D and expanding the capabilities of the Avalanche ecosystem. It's an exciting time to join a world-class team and get the opportunity to work under the direction of a founding member and published blockchain leader, Ted Yin.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Collaborate with C-Level technical teams to build proof of concept (POC) features/products while executing R&D team’s vision
• Cutting edge protocol and VM research (applied)
• Design new concepts based on research findings
• Contribute clean/elegant code while developing components for high visibility projects
• Ensure quality of new concepts via unit testing & continuous Integration design

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• 3 to 8 years of professional development experience
• Proficiency in Rust
• Experience with full lifecycle development
• Experience designing/developing complex systems
• Understanding of Go
• Knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous event processing and/or concurrent programming experience
• Experience with unit testing (TDD)
• Nice to have experience: C/C++, scripting automation (Shell, Bash, and/or Python)
• Bonus points if you have experience with blockchain based virtual machines and low level execution environments for smart contracts
