The Department: Strategy & Corporate Development

The Strategy & Corporate Development team at Gemini is a dynamic and integral part of our organization, working closely with company leadership to drive critical decision-making and operational excellence. As generalists, we tackle the firm's most complex and ambiguous problems, balancing strategic thinking with practical implementation. Our scope encompasses business prioritization, growth strategy, market entry/exit, organizational alignment, and investor relations. We conduct thorough internal and external analyses to inform strategic planning and execute cross-functional initiatives from conception to completion. 

The team also focuses on improving company-wide efficiency by developing streamlined processes and managing performance through metrics and goal-setting. Additionally, we oversee mergers and acquisitions, early-stage investments via the Gemini Frontier Fund, and other key efforts that drive long-term competitive advantage. By partnering with senior leadership on high-impact projects and data analyses, we ensure Gemini not only charts a visionary course but also has the operational framework to execute it effectively, solidifying our position as an innovative leader in the digital asset space.

The Role: Senior Associate, Strategy

Gemini is seeking a Senior Associate, Strategy to drive execution and operations for Gemini Frontier Fund (GFF) while also supporting broader strategic and business operations initiatives. In this position, you will lead day-to-day GFF portfolio management, reporting, and administrative workflows, while also supporting Gemini’s overall business operations through implementing and facilitating key operational frameworks (e.g. OKRs, performance tracking, etc). The ideal candidate is a proactive, execution-oriented professional who thrives with minimal guidance, enjoys handling multiple projects simultaneously, and is comfortable operating across different functions and stakeholders.

This role is required to be in person twice a week at either our New York City, NY or Miami, FL office.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Operations & Strategic Execution:
    • Support company-wide strategic operational processes, including company-wide OKR facilitation, monitoring, and reporting. 
    • Help implement new business operations frameworks and processes. 
    • Serve as the taskmaster and operational glue, ensuring seamless execution of Strategy team priorities. 
    • Support creation of executive-level presentations, dashboards, and analytical reports to provide visibility and actionable insights into strategic initiatives and business performance. 
    • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, market research, and competitor benchmarking to inform strategic decisions across Gemini’s business units. 
  • Gemini Frontier Fund: 
    • Own and maintain portfolio-tracking systems (Affinity CRM, performance reports, etc.) to ensure portfolio and pipeline data is accurate, timely, and complete. 
    • Manage GFF administrative workflows including portfolio reporting, custody operations, and deal execution. 
    • Support new investment sourcing, diligence, and evaluation processes, including drafting concise, IC-ready investment memos as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in venture capital, corporate strategy, management consulting, or startup business operations. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to tackle ambiguous challenges.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex workflows, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality outputs on tight deadlines. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex information to diverse internal stakeholders. 
  • Highly proactive, organized, and detail-oriented; ability to chase down information and execute tasks effectively with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience and strong interest in crypto, Web3, blockchain, or fintech.
  • Familiarity with venture capital portfolio management tools (Affinity, Carta) and investor reporting best practices.
  • Exposure to data analytics tools (SQL, Looker, Dune Analytics, Blockchain explorers).
  • Experience implementing or managing strategic operational frameworks (e.g., OKRs).

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $112,000 - $160,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

In the United States, employees within the New York, Seattle, and Miami metropolitan areas are expected to work from the designated office twice a week, unless there is a job-specific requirement to be in the office every work day. We believe our hybrid approach for those near our NYC, Seattle, and Miami offices increases productivity through more in-person collaboration where possible. Employees outside of these areas are considered part of our remote-first workforce.
