Proof of work

The Team

Kraken Pro is responsible for our global exchange businesses and trading platforms, including our flagship Kraken Pro web and mobile products and matching infrastructure across spot, margin and derivative products. Our secure, trusted platform and deep liquidity fuel a wide range of clients and partners, from individuals making their first trade on our powerful yet elegant GUIs, to the most sophisticated algorithmic trading firms and prime brokerages.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Director, Product Management, Pro UI to lead the product vision, strategy, and execution for Kraken Pro's web and mobile trading experiences. This is a player-coach role - you will manage a team of product managers while also directly owning key product areas. You will partner closely with our VP of Engineering, Pro Trading, design leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver world-class trading interfaces for a wide spectrum of clients, from first-time traders to professional algorithmic trading firms.

The Opportunity

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for Kraken Pro web and mobile UI, covering trading interfaces, order management, charting, portfolio, and platform-level experiences.

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of product managers embedded across the Pro UI team - setting direction, raising the bar, and building PM craft across the team.

  • Partner directly with the VP of Engineering, Pro Trading, and design leadership as a core leadership trio driving the platform forward.

  • Define and maintain a clear product vision that serves clients across the full spectrum - from newcomers needing simplicity to professional traders demanding performance, modularity, and customization.

  • Establish and evangelize a data-driven product culture: define KPIs, instrument features, run experiments, and synthesize analytics into actionable product decisions.

  • Drive prioritization across competing workstreams - trading features, platform reliability, UI performance, localization, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.

  • Own the relationship between Pro UI and cross-functional partners including backend engineering, compliance, legal, growth, and business development.

  • Represent Pro UI product decisions to senior leadership and business stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

  • Actively contribute to pre-planning, roadmap reviews, and sprint processes alongside engineering and design.

  • Triage and synthesize bugs, user feedback, and internal feedback into prioritized, well-scoped work for engineering teams.

Skills You Should HODL

  • 12+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years of managing and developing PM teams.

  • Demonstrated experience owning UI/UX product strategy for consumer-facing platforms with high complexity and a demanding user base.

  • First-hand experience working across both cryptocurrency and traditional financial markets.

  • Strong background working closely with UX design and the ability to raise the quality bar on product experience.

  • Proven ability to operate as a player-coach: driving team-level strategy while staying close to execution and delivery.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills - comfortable presenting to executives and aligning large cross-functional groups.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; experience defining and tracking KPIs, running A/B experiments, and making data-driven decisions.

  • Ability to translate complex business and trading requirements to engineering and design teams, and vice versa.

  • Passion, intellectual honesty, and strong self-drive - comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to haves

  • Experience in both traditional finance and the digital asset space.

  • Understanding of margin trading, futures, FX, options, and order management systems.

  • Experience working in a regulated environment and collaborating with legal and compliance.

  • Familiarity with exchange market structure, advanced order types, and professional trading workflows.

  • Experience scaling trading platforms across geographies or regulatory environments.

  • Background working with or evaluating AI-assisted product development and analytics tooling.
