Web3 Senior Enterprise Security Engineer

Compensation: $72k - $110k estimated

The enterprise security engineer will play a critical role in the protection of our systems and data. This role is ideal for the security professional that seeks to design and implement security controls that enables our team to succeed and protects critical assets against determined adversaries.

Our goal is to build and configure technologies that are secure by default, leveraging modern approaches to security that bring simplicity and ease to employees and users. This role does not focus on security to just “check the box”, but rather has the charter to defend high value assets from determined adversaries in a scalable and modern way.

This role will have independence and ownership of critical security activities and will also have the guidance and mentorship from the CISO who has led security at multiple high tech companies.

Who you are:

  • You are an experienced security professional - 5+ years software in enterprise or information security roles
  • You take a modern approach to enterprise security - Zero trust security models aren’t just a buzzword, but rather an ideology you want to pursue in security control design that dispels old ways of thinking about security through heavy handed friction
  • You have hands-on experience with enterprise security solutions - Endpoint Management, XDR, SIEM, SSO & 2FA, Identity Management Systems, etc
  • You scale security by technical automation, not human efforts or policies - Policies and human review have their place, but you recognize that to truly scale security efforts we need automation in our technical approaches. You have experience with scripting or no-code approaches to automate security operations.
  • You like owning security initiatives and want to begin building components of a security program - This role is ideal for the experienced security engineer that will be hands on and wants the next step of owning pieces of a growing security program and team
  • You are pragmatic and risk based in your security thinking - You operate with a close understanding of specific risks facing the organization and consideration of the right security controls to provide protection.
  • You systematically tackle complex big tasks - Ability to execute on large projects, breaking down complex objectives into individual tasks and working with other stakeholders across the company

What you will do:

  • Drive Centralized Identity and Authorization Controls - Drive the adoption and implementation of core centralized security controls to enhance corporate authentication and identity management across many applications
  • Endpoint Security - Assess and enhance the endpoint security strategy in close collaboration with IT
  • Cloud Security - Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams to enhance cloud infrastructure security capabilities
  • Incident Response - Provide expertise and domain assistance for incident response activities
  • Security Partnerships - Collaborate with external security researchers and third party services to enhance our security capabilities
