Wachsman is hiring a Web3 Social Media Strategist

Wachsman is now seeking a talented Social Media Strategist to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for providing high-level social media strategy and campaigning for a variety of clients. Depending on location and experience level, this position ranges from $70K - $85K base salary.
We are remote in the United States and are open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. We have offices in Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, DC, for those who are interested in a hybrid model.
Duties:
Social Media Management:
- Expert knowledge of a variety of social media platforms, particularly Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok
- Maintain and develop a keen understanding of the crypto and social media industry, its history, the current news, and benchmark against top-performing social media creators in the sector
- Write in multiple voices, from newsy to humorous, and tailor content according to both message and medium
- Write posts that are accurate, clear, concise, and engaging for a variety of clients
- Work with a team of designers, video editors, and animators to ideate around graphic and video concepts and script out content

- Oversee and implement on a range of Social Media Manager duties
- Maintain and schedule posts on social media software (Buffer, Hootsuite, META’s Creator Studio etc)
- Ideate, create, and post compelling Instagram Stories
- Ideate, create, and post compelling TikTok content
- Ideate, create, and post compelling Twitter threads
- Set up and host Twitter Spaces and Instagram Live events
- Live tweet events and Twitter Spaces
- Engage with the community –from quote tweets to replies–across Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
- Self-copy edit at a high level
- Assess social media analytics and make pivots based on data
- Have a pulse of the crypto markets and what sentiment is like throughout the day
- Schedule out evergreen content and identify what solid evergreen content is
- Analyze and identifies any weaknesses in client social media and digital marketing strategy and move to implement improvements
- Assess how your posts are doing in real-time and make micro pivots in how you are writing throughout the day
- Ability to live on Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms, have your finger on the news and trend pulse, and jump on topics before other accounts do
- Chime into conversations in your client’s voice
- Ability to ask deep questions via quote tweet or reply, post polls in comments, chime in with the brand’s voice on a crypto hot topic, or elevate breaking news with a compelling quote tweet or IG Story share
Social Media Strategy and Campaigning:
- Able to strategize and roadmap a holistic social media campaign, contest, or promotion plan for a variety of crypto clients
- Create social media roadmaps for clients
- Oversee the creation of copy, graphics, videos, and other campaign materials by social media managers, graphic designers, video editors, marketers, and more for social media campaigns, contests, promotions, and roadmaps
- Provide standards on social media copy, campaigns, contests, promotions, and strategy across a wide array of platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Reddit, etc
- Provide high level editorial and stylistic feedback on a variety of editorial content, social media content, and community engagement
- Analyzes client company digital marketing plan in relation to its social media strategy to identify strategic weaknesses and makes recommendations for improvements
- Work with cross-functional teams to establish growth strategies to support a client company’s goals
- Utilize SEO and analytics tools to identify the paths to drive organic search traffic for clients
- Analyze performance data and provide intelligent analysis, interpretation and appropriate action plans
- Collaboration with internal teams across departments (design, social, sem, community management, senior management, etc)
- Client-facing responsibilities, including hosting strategic meetings and navigating discussions on scope and budget
- Build and maintain strong and lasting relationships
Leadership:
- Able to work with, coach and direct a variety of social media team leads and specialists on activities required to accomplish strategic goals
- Communicate directly with clients on strategy and campaign needs
Crypto Knowledge:
- Ability to expertly navigate the world of crypto/defi/web3/nfts
- Ability to craft proposals and documents with a keen understanding of crypto and blockchain
- Awareness of industry trends and standards for crypto-based projects and marketing efforts
- Comfortability in strategizing campaigns, roadmaps, and digital media and marketing strategies for a range of clients
Skills & Requirements:
- High level of expertise within the crypto and blockchain space
- Proven experience managing large or multiple social media and marketing retainer accounts Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing social media teams and content teams, from graphics designers to video editors and animators
- Demonstrated background in social media project management and digital marketing strategies
- Experience within a digital media and marketing environment
- Experience using project management software, ideally Monday.com
- Experience with industry-standard digital media and marketing tools
- Excellent organization and time management skills
