Anchorage Digital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Operations Team Lead to spearhead our Cash Management and Stablecoin Operations. In this pivotal role, you are responsible for ensuring the seamless and efficient processing of client cash movements and stablecoin transactions. You will be instrumental in maintaining exceptional client experiences, optimizing operational workflows, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of both traditional cash management practices and the evolving landscape of digital assets, particularly stablecoins.

Responsibilities:

Build & Design:
Design, document, and implement robust operational workflows, procedures, and controls for all aspects of client Fiat (USD) cash management, ensuring scalability and risk mitigation.

Cash Management Operations:
Oversee the processing of client cash deposits, withdrawals, and transfers across various payment rails.
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of cash accounts.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex cash-related inquiries and issues.
Maintain a strong understanding of payment processing systems and protocols (e.g., ACH, wire transfers).
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash operations.

Stablecoin Operations:
Manage the operational aspects of stablecoin deposits, withdrawals, and transfers on relevant blockchain networks.
Develop and maintain operational procedures for stablecoin custody, settlement, issuance, and redemption.
Collaborate with technology teams to ensure the smooth integration of stablecoin operations with internal systems.
Stay abreast of regulatory developments and best practices related to stablecoins and digital assets.
Ensure compliance with security protocols and risk management frameworks for stablecoin operations.

Cross-Functional Support:
Collaborate with Business, Product, Technology, Finance, Compliance, and Client Relationship teams to support new or existing business lines requiring specific Fiat/Stablecoin operational processes and use cases.

Process Improvement:
Continuously identify and implement enhancements to cash management processes to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance client service.

Technical Skills:

    • In-depth understanding of various payment processing systems (Wires, ACH) and their technical requirements.
    • Knowledge of reconciliation tools and methodologies.
    • Familiarity with banking APIs and data integration for cash management.
    • Understanding of security protocols and controls relevant to Fiat payment processing and data handling.

Complexity and Impact of Work:

    • Ability to design and implement scalable Fiat cash management processes that can accommodate future growth.
    • Responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and security of high-value Fiat transactions.
    • Impact on maintaining strong relationships with banking partners through efficient operations.
    • Contribution to the development of new products and services requiring robust Fiat operational support.

Organizational Knowledge:

    • Understanding of how efficient Fiat operations integrate with digital asset workflows for institutional clients.
    • Enthusiasm for building and optimizing both traditional and digital asset operational capabilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment where cross-functional teamwork is essential.

Communication and Influence

    • Ability to clearly communicate complex Fiat operational processes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Experience in working with banking partners to resolve operational issues and implement process improvements.
    • Ability to influence internal stakeholders on the design and implementation of efficient Fiat workflows.

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

    • Proven experience in designing and building robust and scalable Fiat cash management operations within a regulated financial institution.
    • Strong understanding of institutional payment processing (Wires, ACH), reconciliation, and cash sweep mechanisms.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop operations teams focused on accurate and efficient Fiat currency management.
    • Experience in developing and implementing operational processes for new payment capabilities (e.g. Digital Assets).
    • A proactive and detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on risk management and control implementation in Fiat operations.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex Fiat-related operational issues.
    • Experience serving as an operational point of contact for banking partners.
    • 7+ years of experience in institutional financial operations with a significant focus on Fiat cash management.

Although not a requirement, bonus points if:

    • Experience working in the cryptocurrency or fintech industry.
    • Knowledge of specific stablecoin protocols and blockchain networks (e.g., Ethereum, USDC, USDT).
    • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to digital assets.
    • Project management experience.
    • You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
