Special Projects is a strategic program that incubates and executes initiatives that are crucial to Operations, R&D, and Growth. This role is for people who can absorb high degrees of ambiguity and produce results. Here are some examples of ideal profiles:

• Founder of a crypto startup (e.g. wallets, DeFi, NFTs)
• General Manager of a marketplace or platform who activated markets (e.g. Airbnb, Lyft)
• Growth marketer with a track record of success
• Chief of Staff of a large company
• An early employee of a Layer 1 blockchain
• Program Manager of a tech company

The Senior Manager, Special Projects would work with the following people:

• Report to the Chief Of Staff
• Work with the Special Projects team
• Work with the Growth Management team

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of the program strategy.
• Strategy implementation and operational execution of the program (quality of the initiatives executed by the team).
• Coordinate team objective setting, prioritization, and tracking, collaborate with teams to identify key program issues; may lead or participate in ad-hoc cross-functional sub-teams and task forces to address and resolve issues.
• Report on the progress of projects.
• Drive the creation of quality standards and metrics.
• Assure that deliverables are completed on time; you take a hands-on approach if required to support the various teams.
• Prepare and present reporting to team and stakeholders to show progress, and results; anticipate risks and provide recommendations and solutions.
• Play an active role in driving process improvement and best practices on the program and in developing project management tools, templates, and processes.
• Partner with team members to build team spirit with a trusting relationship, sharing responsibility, and working towards a joint goal.
• Support driving a continuous improvement mindset across the organization.

Requirements:

• Must be able to manage 5-10 projects and oversee dozens of people.
• You are ready to manage the current team and scale it up.
• You have a solid business background, and have developed an in-depth knowledge of web3.
• You have 10+ years experience in team building and management, at an international level.
• You own strong business analytics skills.
• You’re a clear thinker, approach problems from a first-principles standpoint, and can effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences.
• You can distill qualitative and quantitative information into compelling and meaningful storylines and recommendations.
• You can prioritize well, work with a high degree of ambiguity and balance long-term projects and short-term sprints.
• You have a shared passion for the Internet Computer blockchain technology and an understanding of web3 markets, trends, and dynamics.
• You’re a natural leader, but you’re low-ego. You can collaborate effectively across roles and disciplines.
