What is Menyala? Menyala is a venture builder founded by Temasek, a global investment firm headquartered in Singapore. We empower builders to drive technological shifts. What is the role? We are seeking a Founder / CEO of a new venture being launched by Menyala in partnership with a large financial institution that will be customer as well as potential investor and strategic partner in scaling this business. We are looking for a Founder / CEO with a robust background in:

Startup experience:  Prior experience as a Founder, CEO, Commercial Officer, GTM lead of a Fintech company; deep experience in strategy and execution within a startup/scale up context; global footprint would be plus. Financial Services:  Prior domain expertise in financial services is desirable, particularly exposure to Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, or Financial Infrastructure sectors. Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of KYC/KYB processes and the regulatory landscape affecting financial institutions. Product Development: Experience in developing innovative solutions that streamline operations and enhance customer experiences. Sales / Business Development & Partnerships: Well versed with GTM strategies, scaling up businesses and sales for an early-stage company and developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including large financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and strategic partners. AI Technologies: Deep understanding of AI adoption in transforming processes, particularly within the financial services sector. Decentralized Identifiers (DID), and blockchain solutions experience is desirable. Team Leadership: Build and inspire a high-performing and global team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.

The Founder / CEO will play a pivotal role in transforming KYC/KYB processes by leveraging advanced technologies to address compliance challenges and improve operational efficiency and unlock new revenue streams for the venture as well as the customers / some of the largest financial institutions and organizations, at a global scale.   Why join us? The integration of AI, DID, and blockchain technologies presents a transformative opportunity to enhance security and streamline operations. The market for these solutions is projected to grow at a CAGR of 22.9% from 2023 to 2032, as institutions seek innovative ways to ensure compliance and improve customer experiences. The vision of this Venture is to provide a universally trusted and secure platform where businesses and individuals can freely share information across counterparties, institutions, industries and geographies enabled by key value propositions such as: frictionless data collection for businesses, permissioned and secure data sharing and consumption of corporate client information, verified and reusable credentials and more.   Responsibilities In this role, you will:

Lead the ideation and development of innovative KYC/KYB solutions that leverage AI, DID, and blockchain technologies (as applicable). Select and onboard key team members and Partners across key geographies in Europe and Asia.   Engage with key stakeholders / strategic partners that are both investors and first customer(s) for this product. Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Technology, Sales, Marketing, etc.) to validate the feasibility and desirability of new concepts, ensuring alignment with target client needs, market-specific needs and constraints, regulatory requirements, etc. Integrate and scale existing products / technologies from key Strategic Partners / Customers, that will enable a fast start this new KYB venture (first ~12 months). Partner with Product and Technology leads to define and continuously refine product roadmap to align with market signals and build / maintain competitive advantage of the venture. Engage the first set of customer (s) and deliver first $$ of revenue within the first 18-24  months of the venture set up. Drive the development of AI-powered smart document collection, intelligent document processing, and permission data sharing platforms that help automate collecting client documentation and streamline onboarding processes for financial services companies. Engage with financial institutions and regulatory bodies to understand their needs and ensure our solutions meet evolving compliance standards. Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collective ownership. Collaborate with investors and financial partners to raise capital, manage the company’s financial performance, and ensure long-term financial sustainability.

  Attributes/Qualifications We are looking for exceptional leaders who can build transformative solutions in the financial services sector. Ideal candidates will have:

Deep domain knowledge in Banking & Capital Markets, AI, and regulatory compliance, blockchain (nice to have) specifically related to KYC/KYB processes, preferably across key financial markets in Europe and / or Asia. Previous experience as a founder or in a leadership role within fintech or RegTech companies. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. Proven track record in product development and go-to-market strategies. Excellent communication and team-building capabilities, with a collaborative mindset. An entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for driving innovation in financial services.
