About the Team

Scale is at Worldcoin’s core. The protocol team is responsible for fulfilling this mission in a decentralized way by imagining, building, and maintaining trustless systems that can scale to billions of people. This involves the on-chain verification of an Orb sign-up, as well as scaling the anonymous protocol that powers WorldID. We are committed to the Ethereum ecosystem, and the team focuses on the application of existing zero knowledge and other Layer 2 schemes.

About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and roadmap of the protocol team. In this role you will:

  • Manage day-to-day a team of blockchain engineers and help aligning on product and company-wide roadmaps.
  • Help improve engineering processes and implement best practices.
  • Support growing the team of highly skilled engineers and researchers.
  • Lead by example by contributing as an engineer in feature development and code reviews.
  • Work closely together with other product teams to implement time sensitive fixes, and shape the long-term roadmap.

About You

  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • 2+ years of experience directly hiring and managing engineers.
  • 4+ years of experience of being a software engineer.
  • Advanced experience in blockchain development required. Prior experience in Layer 2 scalability or zero-knowledge applications are ideal, but not required.
  • Proven ability to design processes, lead a fast-paced team, and synthesize high level goals into actionable roadmaps.
  • You have a bias to action, high sense of urgency, and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done
