Bitcoin Depot is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to design, develop and implement new products and internal systems. The Software Development Manager works in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum with continuous development/release management. Software Development Manager is responsible for technical and people management and is actively engaged in developing the team to deliver business priorities. This position is 100% remote.

Bitcoin Depot is the largest Bitcoin ATM Network in the world offering users the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin at thousands of BTM and BDCheckout locations.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Software Development Managers group responsible for leading multiple teams’ in creating new innovative Products and Product enhancements
  • Direct involvement in architecture decisions, innovation and execution
  • Balance Build Sprints with Tasks/Requests and System Reliability Events
  • Champion, improve and continuously deliver on Software Development LIfe-cycle process and Development Standards
  • Recruit, incentivise and build teams made up of exceptional, diverse internal and external technology-first personnel
  • Manage internal, external, and offshore resources’ capacity based on business needs and priority
  • Drive cross-organization collaboration between Development, IT and Business teams
  • Effectively communicate to Development and Leadership teams
  • Hands-on in the Development, Review, Support, Implementation phases

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field
  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • 3+ years of management of software development teams (full-time work)
  • Hands-on expertise in Python, Django, Dockers/Containers
  • Hands-on experience in NodeJS, Typescript, React
  • Hands-on in Relational and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Google)
  • Experience working with AWS and AWS services
  • Experience in CI/CD plans, Jira (or like)
  • Experience working with blockchain and cryptocurrencies is a big plus
  • Experience in developing secure applications within regulated industries: PCI, PII, GDPR, CCPA
  • Experience in developing applications that are resilient and highly scalable
  • Experience developing mobile applications on Android and iOS using React-Native is a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player mindset and willingness to collaborate
