Waivlength is a fully verified decentralized social media platform that will integrate with it's own cryptocurrency. The Position

We are looking for an ambitious Frontend Blockchain Engineer to integrate into our technical team. As a Frontend Blockchain Engineer you will architect and build the entire frontend for iOS and Android applications using React Native. You will closely communicate with our backend and lead blockchain engineer to integrate efficient and scalable API's with the dApp frontend using Web3.js. secure smart contract protocols and backend services to connect users with the Waivlength platform. Your work will directly contribute to a fully decentralized social network.

What you’ll be doing at Waivlength looks as follows:

● You will use React Native to create the frontend of the Waivlength decentralized application
● You will collaborate with backend blockchain developers to ensure all elements of app creation are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● You will ensure user experience determines design choices.
● Developing features to enhance the user experience.
● Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
● Building reusable code for future use.
● Optimizing app pages for maximum speed and scalability.
● Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design.

Qualifications

● 3+ years commercial experience in an app development role developing high scale applications including experience with iOS and Android development.
● Strong front end application development experience (React Native or Flutter) skills essential
● Experience developing application workflows using Figma
● Have experience building previous decentralized applications using Web3.js (a good understanding of and its core principles is important for this role)
● Strong communication skills both verbal and written and a willingness to support/mentor other team members including participating in regular code reviews
● Strong software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).
● Willingness to get things done, take initiative and challenge existing assumptions and conventions.

Preferred Qualifications

● Advanced Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
● Experience working with Python/Java
● Experience developing and designing consumer-facing products
● Experience with DeFi protocols
● Experience working with Algorand Blockchain
