Responsibilities:

• Generate and automate financial reporting - for the team, board, investors, and external parties
• Manage and liaise with external accountants
• Lead the year-end close and assist with the annual audit process with the external accountants and auditors
• Produce monthly Management Financial Pack for senior management and cashflow forecasting
• Produce and report weekly KPIs at the weekly Leadership Committee meetings, as well as understand the impact of operational department actions on the company's financial position
• Oversee that all invoices and billing issued to clients for services rendered are accurate, and fees have been collected correctly and on time
• Keep track of and reconcile all company operating and safeguarding accounts;
• Manage payroll - of both employees and international contractors
• Manage treasury & accounting
• Manage VAT reporting
• Support all future fundraising efforts
• Manage EMI options scheme and cap table
• Analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support
• Oversee suppliers and invoices
• Assist the company, with the help of external advisors, on the optimal international structure

Requirements

• Qualified (ACA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, CPA)
• 3-4 years experience of financial accounting and reporting at an EMI, payment institution, fintech or regulated firm
• Highly autonomous problem solver, unafraid to establish best practice from scratch
• Expert user of Excel/Google sheet and highly proficient at automating tasks
• Comfortable managing high-volume transactions
• Good communication skills
