Blockchain Developer

THE JOB:

Giddy is looking for a Blockchain Engineer with experience writing and deploying Solidity smart contracts to join our team. This position will primarily be responsible for designing, implementing, deploying, and auditing smart contracts. A huge focus on security and staying current on best practices is paramount.

LIFELONG STUDENT: We understand that this is a young industry and things are changing rapidly. We don’t expect you to know everything about blockchain and smart contracts. We are interested in seeing that you have some experience and have continued to learn and hone your craft. Have you deployed smart contracts to various blockchains? Are you familiar with the practice of writing code for the blockchain and all of the idiosyncrasies that go along with that? Do you know what it takes to make a contract secure? Have you heard of OpenZeppelin and do you understand its importance?

INNOVATOR: Are you a creator by heart? Do you love having the freedom to try new things and test interesting new concepts? Can you help us invent novel solutions for problems that have yet to be solved?

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Designing and developing dApps and smart contracts using primarily Solidity.
• Deploying, testing and troubleshooting the blockchain-driven projects.
• Auditing smart contracts for potential security vulnerabilities
• Develop new contracts in test environments using Truffle, Ganache, Hardhat, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 27 years of smart contract/Solidity experience ;)
• Strong background in software development
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Standard algorithms and data structures knowledge
• Basic understanding of Cryptography
• Familiarity with blockchain and peer to peer networks
• Familiarity with latest best practices and OpenZeppeling recommendations
