CTO, Web 3 Venture Studio

The Venture Studio will build & invest in businesses that accelerate the transition to Web 3.0 with real-world application & value. Acting as co-founders, we help exceptional entrepreneurs identify & validate venture ideas, build their team, connect with an ecosystem of partners, and access investment capital.

The Studio is changing the way ambitious startups are built by creating a platform of centralized technical capabilities & strategic partners, creating synergies between portfolio companies through partnerships and knowledge transfer, and deploying a methodology to validate venture concepts before investing in scaling up.

Backed by Rainmaking, Startupbootcamp, and leading Web 3.0 angels & VCs, we have an established network & platform to begin leveraging from day one.

About the role:

As Partner & CTO, you will work closely with portfolio companies to guide & advise them in the development of new products, assess the technical feasibility of solutions and engage with potential investors & LPs. Your impact will be driven by:

• Providing hands-on support & guidance to portfolio companies in product development and growing their engineering functions
• Validating the technology architecture & feasibility of new product concepts
• Creating & implementing a platform & network of technical support for portfolio founders
• Building long term partnerships with other VCs for co-investment opportunities
• Providing technical insight as part of the investment committee

A bit about you:

• Experience leading teams in the development of technology products as CTO or in a similar capacity
• Demonstrated knowledge and interest in the latest developments of blockchain technology & Decentralised Finance (DeFi) including smart contracts, developer tools, protocols, and platforms
• Strategic thinking to successfully implement a clear vision
• Excellent execution, with the ability to lead teams by example
• Top class management and communication skills

Bonus points if you have:

• Recent success building web 3.0 applications
• Experience investing in technology ventures in a fund or as angel investor
• Experience building FinTech products
• Founded a startup or have significant exposure to working in and with startups
