Crypto.com is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Strategy and New Ventures Team to support its data aggregation, analysis and reporting effort. The ideal candidate is fluent in executing data queries (as a prerequisite), with the expectation to gradually transit into initiating insightful data analysis that informs business decisions (as the candidate gains deeper knowledge of our data structure and business logic).

This role is based in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute clearly-defined data queries (e.g., run the correlation between variable A and variable B for users that meet a list of criteria) to support business analysis, including but not limited to:

• Extracting and compiling data from internal & external data sources;
• Analyzing transactional & operational data based on the request;
• Synthesizing key findings of the data analysis in a concise, clear way.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge on internal & external data sources and exercise proper data hygiene, including but not limited to:

• Documenting & updating definitions of metrics in datasets;
• (Expected to achieve after 1~2 months for candidates without crypto background) Being an expert at what data is available internally and on popular crypto data sources.
• Coordinate between the Strategy & New Ventures team and the Data Intelligence team, including:
• Tracking the progress of data requests to ensure prompt delivery;

Collaborating on more advanced data analytics projects (as needed);

• Trouble-shooting (as needed).

(Gradual transition, not expected on Day 1) Initiate, instead of merely execute, data analysis that delivers insights to inform business decisions.

1. High proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel is a must. Fluency in programming languages (e.g., Python) is a plus;
2. 1-3 years experience in data analytics. Candidates with and looking for a more senior profile are welcome to get in touch;
3. Proficiency in using Tableau is highly preferred but not required. Proficiency in other data analytics & visualization tools is a plus;
4. Knowledge of crypto / blockchain is a plus but not required;
5. Understanding of basic statistics concepts such as hypothesis testing, A/B testing and regression;
6. Pursuit of excellence, always going the extra mile to level up the quality of insights and deliverables;
7. Self-driven and organized, with a relentless focus on following through on alignments and delivering results effectively;
8. High-level of adaptability, being able to quickly reprioritize and iterate based on latest developments;
9. Excellent attention to detail.
