Web3 Lead Protocol Engineer

Our small and innovative team is looking for a Lead Protocol Engineer to help us design and implement a high throughput blockchain settlement platform for the rapidly growing field of MEV in Ethereum ⚡

This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage cryptonative startup with industry-leading backers 💸 Your role will be pivotal to building critical infrastructure that expands the transaction experience used by some of the top web3 projects and the most notable leaders in the space 🙌

Responsibilities 👷🏻

• Implement cutting-edge protocol solutions for our network, optimizing for speed and reliability as required by users;
• Lead and own our node development and maintenance, blockchain customization & rollup/sidechain dynamics;
• Lead and own basic smart contract development and deployment on the chain;
• Collaborate with Founders to integrate new features into the overall network architecture;
• Build and integrate different aspects of our network stack from blockchain to contracts to internal tooling;
• Collaborate to develop technical documentation for implementations;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of MEV and DeFi, and incorporate emerging concepts into our systems.

Qualifications 🦾

• 5+ years of Engineering experience, with experience in distributed systems and/or protocol design and development;
• Experience with Ethereum, geth, and/or rollup solutions & sidechains;
• Strong understanding of one or more of the following: P2P networks, EVM, consensus mechanisms, MEV searching, and blockbuilding.
