Web3 New Venture - Product Manager (Global Fintech Startup)

What to expect for this role

We are looking for a Project Lead to join the Crypto.com New Ventures team. This role is based in Singapore.

This role is responsible for end-to-end execution of New Venture projects (i.e., projects that are adjacent to our core business). Therefore, it involves both strategic planning in the conventional sense and product management in the tech world.

• You lead a new business - You will have the opportunity to lead a new business that is operated under the New Ventures. You get to wear and switch between multiple hats depending on your interests: be it a strategic thinker with multiple business ideas, or a diligent designer who’s keen on making a perfect product, and it is all about being a curious problem-solver and finding your own problems to solve!
• Be involved in the product cycle end-to-end and see the impact - You get to experience the full product cycle - from conception of a new venture’s idea to product launch and ongoing KPI monitoring. You get to see the results of your recommendations & decisions with live data reporting.
• Learn something new every day - Most if not all projects at Crypto.com are cross-functional, meaning you will be sitting at a roundtable or brainstorming on a whiteboard with colleagues & experts from diverse backgrounds - blockchain engineering, mobile development, cybersecurity, customer acquisition, fraud management, banking & finance...

There is no such thing as a “typical” day at Crypto.com - our ethos is to move fast, iterate fast, and dance to the changing tune! That being said, below are some activities you may find yourself taking up:

• Designing & drafting requirements for a new product / feature for New Ventures (adjacent-to-core businesses);

• Planning timeline & key deliverables for shipping your product / feature;

• Distilling insights from multiple stakeholders to shape the perfect product / feature;

• Managing day-to-day software development with designers and developers;

• Deciding & analyzing product KPIs and recommending improvements;

• Overseeing the entire business line with continued execution on innovations.

What we are looking for

• Experience in a field requiring strong problem-solving & strategic thinking skills, e.g., management consulting, product management, investment analysis;
• Proficient in oral & written English, with fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese a plus;
• Clarity & confidence in communication, e.g., experience communicating with senior stakeholders, public speaking and/or teaching, a portfolio of writing samples etc.,
• Demonstrable examples of teamwork, e.g., coordinating a complex project across multiple work-streams, leading a project team;
• (Strong plus) Technical background e.g., programming language expertise, frontend and backend software development experience, or a degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Engineering, or related fields;
• (Strong plus) Product management experience e.g., understanding how product management works in a tech company, familiarity with agile practices, knowing the requirements to pull off a product launch by coordinating with designers, developers, and various stakeholders;
• (Strong plus) Start-up experience e.g., previous position in a fast-paced start-up, being used to an extremely dynamic work environment with new problems/challenges that are emerging every day
• (Plus) Other demonstrable examples of intellectual curiosity & prowess, e.g., Track record in an extracurricular activity/ hobby, specific knowledge in a niche area driven by personal interest, (e.g., knowledge of a certain period in history).
