About The Role
Figure is looking for a Principal Product Manager for Mortgage to join our growing Product team and help build a best in class Point-of-Sale (POS) and integrated Loan Origination System (LOS) built for Blockchain. The ideal candidate must have direct experience in the Mortgage Lending industry and a thorough understanding of the process to approve, process, and close a loan. This role will be responsible for partnering with Product and Mortgage stakeholders at Figure to design and translate Mortgage application and origination workflows to be implemented into Figure’s innovative Mortgage Ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Assess Figure’s current Mortgage technology and develop the roadmap for an integrated POS and LOS that supports retail, wholesale, and consumer-direct mortgage lending
- Help drive strategy and prioritization of POS and LOS features
- Develop and scope requirements for features to be built into the POS and LOS
- Ensure ability for the system to support various products including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA financing
- Identify and implement vendor solutions to build process efficiencies and grow the Mortgage ecosystem at Figure
- Work alongside Product and Engineering to implement workflows, vendors, and automation in the origination process
- Partner with Mortgage Sales and Operations to identify enhancements to the application process, pipeline management, and automated nurture
- Collaborate with the broader cross-functional team, including Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Data Science, Design, and Operations to resolve issues and implement improvements to bring your ideas to life
What We Look For
- 10+ years of Mortgage Lending experience
- BS/BA preferred
- Deep understanding of Mortgage application process
- Experience with vendor relationship management and partner integrations
- Experience with mortgage regulations including TRID, HMDA and RESPA
- Proven track record of building scalable processes in the Mortgage space
- Proven success communicating cross-functionally and building solid business relationships
- Ability to build and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Mortgage product development or strategy experience is a plus
