We are looking for a software engineer to join a growing team charged with determining and delivering optimal liquidity for every customer in the world in a cost-effective, robust and scalable manner. You will own and work on developing polyglot blockchain SDK libraries (Javascript, Python, and Java as the top three priorities) and develop reference apps showcasing solutions to problems using the SDK libraries. You will mentor other software engineers, setting and demonstrating high standards and technical excellence. As a member of a new initiative, you must be passionate about inventing and delivering customer-focused solutions to ambitious and ambiguous challenges.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own and develop polyglot open source blockchain SDK libraries that integrate with the layer-1 XRPL
• Build reference applications that others can base off of to build their own use cases using the SDK libraries
• Engage actively with the XRP open source developer community
• Work with teams across the organization, including product, design, marketing, integrations, ops, customer success, legal, etc.
• Be a technical subject matter expert, provide technical leadership and share your expertise with a growing team of engineers

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and delivering intuitive API's using various protocols such as RESTful, gRPC, and GraphQL
• Enjoys interacting with a developer ecosystem and has empathy/passion for making better tools for developers
• Ability to collaborate well across teams including non-engineering ones
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Passion for digital currency and blockchain technologies

GOOD TO HAVES

• Experience with multiple programming languages such as C++, Javascript, Python, Java, Ruby, and C#
• Experience developing distributed systems and components
* Experience working on open source software projects
