Plai Labs is searching for the best and brightest Software Engineers to work on a new central technology platform that will support a number of our newest social product, powered by Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. We’re looking for a smart, experienced Senior Django Engineer who thrives in an agile environment.

Responsibilities
- Create a flexible and well-structured middle-tier architecture between front end products and backend systems..
- Integrate analytics, social sharing, and other 3rd party SDKs at a rapid pace.
- Design, develop, and maintain a scalable backend for a central technology platform that supports a range of AI-powered social products.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs into the platform as needed.
- Write efficient and reliable code that is easy to maintain and understand.
- Write clean and well-documented code that follows industry best practices.
- Implement security measures to protect user data and ensure the platform is secure.
- Optimize the API for speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise in the backend of the platform.
- Utilize Celery and Redis for task processing and message queuing.
- Write and execute automated tests to ensure the stability and functionality of the platform.
- Work closely with product leadership, product designers and backend engineers to build and release on schedule.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure a responsive and user-friendly platform.
Qualifications
- ***MUST*** Candidate must be available for 6 hours of daily working overlap with US (Central time).
- 5+ years of experience with Python / Django development.
- Experience with designing and developing scalable backends for complex applications.
- Experience with building social media platforms or similar applications.
- Proficient in Python, Django, and related libraries.
- Experience with Celery/Redis or other task processing and message queuing tools.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Database experience, postgresql, cloud spanner experience a plus
