Staff Blockchain Engineer - Smart Contract

The Crypto team is building services and protocols that shape the future of the global financial system. We have been at the cutting edge of technology and innovation, building world-class smart contracts and connecting millions of users to DeFi.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architect smart contract protocols
• Build secure smart contract protocols and backend services to connect Coinbase users with the crypto ecosystem
• Drive the standardization in crypto protocols by designing and defining interfaces
• Work closely with management and product to define crypto strategies and roadmaps
• Mentor and train other team members on smart contract best practices
• Participate in on-call rotation

What We Look For In You

• 3+ year Experience with Solidity and smart contract development
• 2+ year Experience with backend development
• Experience with blockchain and crypto (Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi etc.)
• Hands-on coding ability
• Interest and passion for contributing to the crypto ecosystem
• Interest and passion for building secure, robust, scalable infrastructure

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Amazon Web Services, MongoDB and Redis.
• Experience with Go
• Experience with microservices
