BlockFi is looking for a Product Design Manager to join our growing team!

About Your Team

At BlockFi, Product Design Manager influence teams to make customer-centric decisions across the product development lifecycle. This includes drawing on data and research to inform design concepts and decision making. We start with asking the right questions and end with optimized, best-in-class deliverables. Our designers are great storytellers, active listeners, technology enthusiasts and experts of their craft – in other words great role models and mentors at different stages of their career journey.

As a Product Design Manager, you will advocate for our customer needs and lead project execution in a complex or strategic product domain. You will establish a network across domains and your cross-functional team.

Your Mission

As a Product Design Manager within the profile management team, you and your team will create meaningful and cohesive end-to-end experiences for clients globally. You will guide your team to work alongside your cross-functional team members to influence decisions and ultimately deliver the best possible experience that demonstrates account health for our clients around the world.

You will report to Malia Nagle, VP of Product Design, and be a member of our diverse UX organization where we use our design and research skills to inspire & influence across the company. We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds inside our team lead to innovation and inclusion in our product design. We advocate for meaningful and engaging experiences for our diverse global customers. We support each other, learn from challenges, and have fun along the way.

Your Responsibilities

• You and your team will create high-quality interaction design to improve ease of use, discoverability and comprehension, while being able to meet requirements, timelines and tell the story of the work
• Lead a team of designers, encourage best practices in process and methodology and deliver against business KPIs and customer needs
• Lead UX efforts within your cross-functional team, including strategy, planning, participating in delivery and presenting effectively to stakeholders
• Coach team to use established design system, >
• Advocate for our users with a strong sense of user empathy, and awareness at scale
• Actively contribute to the wider UX community, leveraging your strengths to help others grow
  
  

Your Expertise

• BA/BS +8 yrs experience or Masters +6 yrs experience in the field of user experience, design, research or related fields; for example, Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors/HCI, Psychology, Cognitive Sciences OR alternative equivalent project/portfolio experience
• 1-2 years managing direct reports and experience in leading, growing and inspiring highly talented and productive UX teams
• Complete UX skillset with a proven ability to deliver across products and platforms, mobile apps, financial services expertise an advantage
• Experience across products and platforms, mobile apps, Cryptocurrency expertise is an advantage
• Familiarity and experience with standard design, prototyping and user research tools, such as Figma, Miro, Sketch, Invision, Validately or usertesting.com
