About the role:

We have an Associate/VP level role available within our Product Control team. The team works on daily P&L, Balance Sheet, IPV and other financial reporting pertaining to trading/VC businesses. This role is intended to add specific skills to the team in the field of derivative valuations.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and perform IPV on a monthly basis across various asset classes i.e., spots, options, futures, forwards, loans.
• Review the portfolio risk and work with traders to assign appropriate liquidity and valuation reserves.
• Independent review of the inputs and assumptions feeding into derivative valuation models.
• Independent valuation of venture capital portfolio on a quarterly basis. Work with the VC team to understand various structures, metrics and design a prudent valuation methodology.
• Stamping the financial instruments and the VC portfolio in line with fair value hierarchy per IFRS 13.
• Working through statutory audit review of valuations, reserves and VC portfolio.
• Maintaining clear communication with colleagues in wider finance and assisting with an efficient month end close process.
• Gaining a thorough understanding of products, trading strategies, crypto/blockchain infrastructure, front to back systems, processes, and trade lifecycle flows.
• Design and implement automated controls and processes as needed
• Actively driving data quality and process improvements
• Assisting in preparation of various finance deliverables for internal and external reporting

Your Profile:

• ACCA/ACA/CFA qualified with extensive knowledge and working experience in options valuations
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL and/or VBA is an added advantage
• Have a change/automation/improvement mindset
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Commercial acumen and good eye for detail
• Good communication and team player
• Demonstrable interest in crypto helpful
