Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of crypto transactions in accordance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
- Classify and categorize crypto transactions, including purchases, sales, transfers, and staking rewards.
- Reconcile crypto wallets and exchange accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to crypto assets.
- Research and stay up-to-date on emerging accounting guidance and regulatory developments related to crypto assets.
- Develop and maintain internal controls over crypto accounting processes.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal, and compliance, on crypto-related matters.
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc analyses as required by senior management or business needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Prior experience in a crypto firm or with crypto accounting is highly desirable.
- Strong interest in tokens, blockchain technology, and the crypto industry.
- Familiarity with crypto exchanges, wallets, and blockchain technology.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and organised.
