We are looking for a curious, collaborative and hyper-detailed Proof of Stake Revenue Analyst who can dive deep into the Proof of Stake (POS) networks that Figment supports and analyze the token reward flows on a granular level. The position offers the opportunity to develop niche expertise in POS accounting and finance as well as understand how the protocols work on a technical and tokenomics level. The analyst will also be at the cutting edge of crypto accounting regulation and will get to learn about and work with many “block explorers” (blockchain search engines that allow you to search for information on the blockchain). This is a unique, cross-functional role that blends the accounting and protocol research teams together to assist in month-end close and answer larger questions about revenue recognition for Proof of Stake networks.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Proof of Stake Revenue Analyst will be instrumental in month-end close and ensuring our token revenue and balance sheet are properly accounted for. They will also assist in preparing in-depth audit documentation about how our POS networks work from a token flow, custody (i.e. wallets) and technical level.

Responsibilities

• Own the knowledge base for a subset of our supported POS networks, with emphasis on how rewards are accrued and distributed for each network
• Work with the Financial Controller and accountants to track our token revenue and token balance sheet at month-end and answer time-sensitive network research questions
• Keep track of new wallets created across our networks and the balances in those wallets
• Partner with the protocol research teams and devops to learn about and document how our networks operate
• Be one of the main points of contact for our auditors when they have network-specific questions

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in either research, accounting or finance
• 1+ years experience in the blockchain sector or demonstrate deep understanding of how Proof of Stake networks operate
• A willingness to “go down the rabbit hole”
• Remote work from home, requires reliable internet connection and acceptable work from home setting
• Advanced Google Sheets and Excel skills to create and improve on month-end reports
• Well developed analytical and problem-solving skills, solid attention to detail and big picture thinker
• Experience working in high-growth fast-paced environments with strong processes mindset and superior documentation skills
