Seated in our Los Angeles based headquarters, Genies is looking for an ASSET TD to support the different initiatives the CG department is involved in. We are looking for someone who is eager to work in a startup environment, ready to jump between different departments supporting our modeling team and external asset ingestion pipeline, as well as work with our pipeline team on developing more tools to increase efficiency. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with traditional CG studio pipelines as well as game engines such as Unity and Unreal. Help us evolve and support an incredible CG team!

What You’ll be Doing:

• Anticipate needs and work with departments to improve art department efficiency
• Provide technical support for artists in production
• Contribute to the design and development of our production workflows
• Create scripts to support asset ingestion, asset tracking, and automation
• Work with external and internal teams to troubleshoot and create solutions.
• Develop organizational systems for assets in collaboration with the Production team and the Mobile team
  

What You Should Have:

• Minimum 5 years experience in the 3D industry
• Python scripting experience (in Maya and standalone)
• Knowledge and understanding of industry standard tools (Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, and Marmoset Toolbag).
• Experience with UE or Unity
• Experience working with Git or similar repositories
• Production experience in a CG pipeline, modeling or rigging specific a plus
• Experience developing modules with Python
• Understanding of the entire 3D production pipeline including modeling, rigging, animation and lighting
• PyQt / PySide development experience
