Working Student - Research Analyst & Operations

The IOTA Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established in 2017 and headquartered in Berlin, Germany. The Foundation’s mission is to drive the development and standardization of new distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) that enable permissionless innovation ecosystems. To realize this potential the IOTA Foundation is actively building a global ecosystem of developers, founders, investors, experts, private enterprises, governments, civil society, and more.

Concretely, we engage in engineering, research. and community organizing efforts around the IOTA Tangle – a feeless and scalable DLT that supports secure data and value transfers. This includes building a permissionless smart contracts network, Assembly, and other supporting tools that enable the development of future open worlds.

Mission:

As a Working Student - Research Analyst & Operations for Assembly you will be providing research support on trends in crypto and Web3 and helping us build and manage our growing contact list and knowledge repository.

Tasks

Research & Analysis

• Conduct research on trends and projects in crypto and Web3
• Identify projects that are relevant for the Assembly ecosystem that we should contact
• Synthesize learnings and adoption tactics and share with the team
• Help build out an external knowledge repository for the community

Operations support

• Maintain our CRM system and contact list - ensuring it is kept up to date
• Prepare internal weekly meetings and reports to discuss and review the contact list
• Set up meetings and phone calls and answer questions and concerns
• Prepare presentations for use internally and externally

Requirements

• University study in Business Administration, Economics or similar with Masters Thesis, in DLT / Blockchain, Crypto or other related themes. Other backgrounds are welcome if demonstrated understanding of business-related concepts.
• Understanding of Web3 ecosystems and crypto.
• Previous experience in other DLT communities is valued.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• A high level of fluency in spoken and written English, other languages are a plus.

• You are proactive, self-sufficient, and like to take new challenges
• You are an analytical thinker and results-oriented
• You enjoy working in a remote team environment
