What you’ll do:

Community is at the heart of what we’re building at Public, and as our community continues to grow, its health and safety is a top priority. We’re looking for a Moderation Specialist to help ensure that we are upholding an educational, inclusive, and productive environment on the Public app. Your day-to-day will include fielding member and content reports, upholding moderation guidelines, and creating and improving upon moderation systems & procedures. You’ll also collaborate regularly with our Community and Customer Experience teams.

What we’re looking for:

• Someone who is passionate about community safety. You believe in the importance of upholding harm-free spaces for our members to interact. You’re energized by the challenge of making the social environment on Public safer than any other social app.
• An agile teammate who is comfortable working independently. You can react quickly to diffuse difficult conversations and make effective decisions about how to best handle content reports.
• Someone process-, detail-, and action-oriented who embodies our company principle of organized speeding. You are passionate about discovering trends and uncovering insights, and look for opportunities to operationalize moderation procedures to allow your work to scale easily alongside our community.

• You’re curious about the future of business and investing. From stocks and cryptocurrency to industry evolution and business innovation, you’re fascinated by the topics that affect the public markets.
• You have data and/or coding skills, or are excited to learn new technologies to help make our processes more efficient.
• You’ve worked for a startup or in a similar fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• You’re an active member of the Public app.
