Web3 Frontend Developer - Part time - 10/20hrs per week
DEX / Smart Contract Integration experience
Weâre looking for a Web3 Frontend Developer to join our team. Someone who can translate ideas into intuitive, functional user interfaces and isnât afraid of diving into smart contract integrations. If youâre comfortable navigating modern Web3 technologies, have strong front-end coding skills, and understand how blockchain applications tick under the hood, this might be a good fit for you.
What Youâll Be Doing as the Web3 Frontend Developer
Letâs break it down a bitâitâs not just âbuilding frontends.â
- Developing polished, interactive interfaces using frameworks like React, Vue, or even plain old JavaScript.
- Integrating those interfaces with smart contracts, so users can actually do something (sign transactions, swap tokens, mint NFTs, etc.).
- Collaborating with back-end devs, designers, and blockchain engineers to make sure everything connects smoothly. This might mean sifting through API documentation or debugging weird issues between your frontend and the blockchain network.
- Testing for edge cases. Web3 apps arenât as straightforward as regular web appsâyouâll have to handle things like compatibility with wallets, unpredictable gas fees, and network quirks.
What Weâre Hoping You Bring
Hereâs what weâre ideally looking for, though we know not everyone ticks every box:
- Front-end experience. You should feel solid writing JavaScript, building responsive layouts, and thinking through UI/UX challenges. Letâs say 3-5 years? But honestly, experience matters more than a number.
- Knowledge of Web3 tools. This includes things like ethers.js, web3.js, or wallet connection libraries like Web3Modal or RainbowKit.
- Smart contract basics. You donât need to be a Solidity wizard, but you should understand what smart contracts do and how to interact with them. For example, you should know how to call functions, handle events, or check contract states.
- An eye for detail. Frontend mistakes can really show in Web3, whether itâs a layout issue or a confusing wallet interaction. You should care about getting it right - or at least getting close.
- Curiosity. Web3 moves fast, so it helps if youâre naturally interested in keeping up, experimenting, and learning from what others are doing.
Tech Stack
Here are some tools we use (though thereâs flexibility if you have better ideas):
- React / Next.js for most frontends. Maybe Vue if you love it.
- TypeScript (or JavaScriptâyou can convince us either way).
- ethers.js / web3.js for blockchain interactions.
- Tailwind CSS or similar frameworks for styling.
- Git for sure. And Figma (or whateverâs trendy now) for designs.
