The Department: Financial Planning & Analysis
The Role: Principal, Financial Planning & Analysis
The FP&A team at Gemini delivers the financial insights and discipline that power our strategic decision-making. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Principal, FP&A to lead our Business & Scenario Analytics function. This role will develop Geminiâs analytical backbone â owning multi-scenario financial modeling, product and regional P&Ls, and expense allocation frameworks that drive clarity, accountability, and performance across the organization. Youâll work closely with senior leadership across Product, Markets, Strategy, and Operations to evaluate growth opportunities, optimize profitability, and inform critical decisions in a rapidly evolving market.
This role is required to be in person twice a week at our New York City, NY office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead scenario modeling to evaluate the financial impact of crypto-market volatility, trading volumes, pricing, and regulatory shifts.
- Build and maintain product- and region-level P&Ls across Spot, Derivatives, Custody, and Card businesses.
- Design and implement expense allocation models for shared resources to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Partner with Product and Strategy leads to identify and quantify opportunities for margin expansion and efficiency.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for executives and the Board.
- Support the development of tools and automation to scale forecasting, reporting, and analytics.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
- 8â10+ years of experience in FP&A, strategy, or finance roles within crypto, fintech, or financial markets.
- Expert financial modeler with strong business judgment and analytical rigor.
- Direct experience using financial systems, ideally with NetSuite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, CFA, or CPA certification.
- Crypto or digital asset experience preferred but not required.
- Highly collaborative communicator with the ability to influence and present to senior leadership.
- Skilled in Excel and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, SQL); experience with planning systems such as Anaplan or Adaptive Insights is a plus.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment with strong judgment and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional collaboration and influencing strategic decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, and ability to mentor and inspire high-performing teams.

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $150,500 - $215,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidateâs compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
In the United States, we offer a hybrid work approach at our hub offices, balancing the benefits of in-person collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Employees who do not live near one of our hubs are part of our remote workforce.
