Weâre looking for a Site Reliability Engineer with strong infrastructure engineering expertise and leadership potential. Youâll work alongside the existing team to stabilize and scale our onchain infrastructure as demand grows.
The ideal candidate thrives in high-ownership environments, can independently manage complex deployments (particularly Node.js services on AWS), and brings an operational mindset to problem-solving. While this is primarily an individual contributor role, youâll be expected to help guide, mentor, and eventually manage others on the team.
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for Crossmint productsâ availability, performance, efficiency, monitoring, and emergency response. Your responsibilities will include:
Stabilize Production Environments: Triage and resolve recurring infrastructure issues ensuring uptime, performance, and operational maturity.
Deploy and Manage Services: Own deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure for Node.js applications running on AWS.
Build for Observability: Enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to provide clear visibility into system health and performance, minimizing false positives and improving incident response.
Improve Developer Velocity: Design internal tools, workflows, and CI/CD pipelines that make life easier for product and platform teams, balancing reliability with speed.
Drive Proactive Reliability Work: Identify weak points before they become incidents. Champion initiatives like chaos testing, failover planning, and load testing to build real resilience.
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience using the following:
Platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
MongoDB, MySQL, and Redis.
Experience working within a team and references to back it.
Programming Expertise: Showcase advanced knowledge in Javascript or TypeScript.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
We highly value candidates with:
Previous experience mentoring or managing engineers
Familiarity with security infrastructure and tooling
Experience scaling infrastructure for high-throughput blockchain or web3 applications
