Your Mission

Bitpanda is actively looking for a BAM Outsourcing Manager to join our team in Berlin.

The BAM Outsourcing Manager is a strategic role that is responsible for managing BAM outsourcing arrangements both with external 3rd parties and within the group in accordance with the regulatory requirements and policy. This will include ensuring agreements, SLAs and other processes are in place to manage material outsourcing services against respective regulatory requirements. The role will also include reviewing and analysing documentation, preparation of reports, development of MI and providing support on the assessment of new third-party services.

What You’ll do

  • Overseeing due diligence for new and existing outsourcing, both with 3rd parties and intra-group
  • Setting the policy and procedures for outsourcing management for the group
  • Supporting the identification of critical/important/material outsourcing and implementing arrangements accordingly
  • Maintaining a robust inventory of outsourced services
  • Establishing appropriate monitoring of relationships with outsourced providers, including setting and monitoring SLAs for outsourced services
  • Inputting into relevant business continuity and disaster recovery planning
  • Supporting incident management and ensuring prompt and compliant communication to regulators
  • Overseeing service credits/ rebates where applicable
  • Ensuring regulated group entities have access to performance MI
  • Resolving regulatory requests related to outsourcing
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate exit plans for critical outsourced providers
  • Ensuring overall compliance with outsourcing regulations applicable to checkout.com regulated entities

Who you are

  • 7+ years of experience within a 3rd party/vendor management/risk role
  • Passionate about crypto, new techniques and development
  • Experience working in a regulated financial services environment, ideally with experience in the technical crypto and/or fintech
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Outsourcing, Intra Group, Third Party Risk including EBA Outsourcing, PRA SS2/21 and other regulatory equivalents
  • Developing and maintaining the Outsourcing and Third-Party register, in alignment with regulatory requirements (PRA, FCA & EBA)
  • Ability to develop and enhance Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Ensure that risks associated with Third Party relationships, before and after entering into contracts, are sufficiently identified, assessed, monitored and controlled.
  • Experience in third party risk and supplier performance management
  • Experience in operational, strategic and financial risk and/or business continuity would be beneficial
  • Commercially-minded and pragmatic, driving to deliver positive outcomes for the group
  • Ability to work with and influence senior internal stakeholders across the group to ensure service quality is maintained and issues are resolved effectively
  • Ability to produce regular MI for and communicate to the business stakeholders, Risk Management, Boards, Risk Committees, and provide responses to regulators, as required
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise competing workloads and responsibilities effectively
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and proven ability to effectively interact with team members, clients and peers, earning their trust and establishing credibility
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel on occasion to other Bitpanda offices to ensure quality of service delivery
