zeroShadow is hiring a Blockchain Security Engineer
Location: Remote
zeroShadow is a Web3 security company protecting the next generation of decentralised systems through proactive security intelligence and rapid incident response.
We're building tools that help protocols, exchanges, and on-chain organisations prevent attacks before they happen - and react instantly when seconds matter.
zeroShadow is seeking a Blockchain Security Engineer to join our TORCH vSOC team. This exciting role involves an intermediate level of understanding of smart contracts across EVM, Solana, and other ecosystems focused on designing, developing, and implementing blockchain and smart contract (Web3) solutions for zeroShadow's clients. This role involves direct engagement with clients to understand their needs and build tailored capabilities, with a particular emphasis on on-chain asset monitoring and alerting solutions. In the event of an incident, our team will then work closely with the client to analyze and triage attack vectors and contain vulnerabilities in compromised smart contracts.
If you’re excited about empowering a safer Web3 ecosystem, you’ll thrive here.
What You'll Do
- Direct engagement with clients to understand their needs and build tailored capabilities, with a particular emphasis on on-chain asset monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Build custom monitoring across various blockchain analytics tools such as Hypernative, Hexagate, Tenderly, Blockaid and Guardrail.
- In the event of an incident, our team will then work closely with the client to analyze and triage attack vectors and contain vulnerabilities in compromised smart contracts.
What you'll bring
Must-haves
- Smart Contract Analytical Experience: Applicants should have hands-on experience of at least 1 year (2 years or more is preferred) in one or more of the following areas - smart contract auditing, participation in bug-bounty programs, smart contract development, and/or deconstructing how on-chain attacks have occurred.
- Cyber Threat Landscape Experience: Knowledge of the current cyber threat environment, including common attack vectors and potential security breaches within the blockchain space. This understanding helps in proactively identifying risks and mitigating threats to digital assets.
- We are specifically looking for a candidate based in EMEA (UTC 0 to +4) but top talent in any region will be considered
Nice-to-haves
- Creativity: The ability to design and develop custom on-chain asset monitoring and alerting solutions tailored to client requirements, as well as security policies for managing on-chain wallets and treasuries.
- People and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with team members, partners, and clients. The role demands clear articulation of complex issues and active participation in discussions to prevent and resolve security incidents.
- Curiosity: A natural inclination to question, explore, and investigate new or unfamiliar details is vital. The ideal candidate will possess an investigative mindset that drives them to dig deeper and uncover the truth behind digital transactions.
- Desire to Learn: The rapidly evolving nature of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies requires a continual learning mindset. Candidates must be eager to stay updated with the latest developments and innovations in the field and apply new knowledge to their work.
- Interest in cryptography, formal verification, or on-chain analytics.
