This is a high-impact role focused on ensuring accurate payroll processing, smooth people operations, and compliant benefits administration. The ideal candidate will bring experience in payroll, benefits, leave of absence (LOA) and EDD coordination, annual Open Enrollment management, and 401(k) audit support (Form 5500). This role will collaborate closely with HRIS and external vendors and will have the opportunity to grow expertise in benefits and leave program administration.   What You’ll Be Doing

Partner on benefits administration, including eligibility, deductions, enrollments, and employee communications.

Partner and support payroll for all employees, including deductions, approvals, and reporting.

Manage annual Open Enrollment, including vendor coordination, employee communication, system updates, and process execution.

Support 401(k) audits, including Form 5500 filings.

Collaborate with HRIS and external vendors to maintain accurate records, improve processes, and support reporting and analytics.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements related to payroll and benefits.

Contribute to HR operations initiatives and process improvements across the People team.

  What We Look For In You

Hands-on payroll experience (processing, deductions, cycle review)

Familiarity with benefits administration, including eligibility, enrollments, and deductions, as well as leave of absence (LOA) and coordination with the Employment Development Department (EDD).

Experience managing annual Open Enrollment processes.

Experience partnering with HRIS systems (Workday, ADP WFN, Oracle, BambooHR, etc.) and external vendors.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills for collaborating with employees, business partners, and vendors.

5+ years of experience in Payroll, Benefits, or People Operations.

Bachelor’s degree
