Web3 Deputy General Counsel - General Corporate & IP

We are building our Legal Team. We are looking for a Deputy General Counsel that will lead on general corporate and IP projects as well as help build the infrastructure and processes that will support the hypergrowth of the company. This role will report directly to the General Counsel and will have a broad mandate to work on all general corporate and IP projects for the company, including fundraising, corporate structuring and governance, employment, commercial transactions, and technology and IP management (e.g., terms of service, privacy, open-source licenses). The best candidate will be able to "wear many hats" and support other functions in the Legal organization such as the development of firm policies, and dealing with ad hoc legal issues such as protocol security. NOTE: THIS JOB IS FULLY REMOTE, ALTHOUGH CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES.

• 6+ years of legal experience practicing corporate/IP transactional law, with a preference for candidates that have worked in EC/VC and/or technology transactions. Several years at an AmLaw 100 or equivalent law firm is a hard requirement. In-house experience is not required, but experience working within a start-up developing company processes and policies is a plus.
