Web3 Deputy General Counsel - Securities & Regulatory

We are building our Legal Team. We are looking for a Deputy General Counsel that will lead on securities and regulatory projects as well as help build the infrastructure and processes that will support the hypergrowth of the company. This role will report directly to the General Counsel and will have a broad mandate to work on all securities and regulatory projects for the company, including anything involving the regulation of digital tokens, relations with all regulatory bodies (including in particular the SEC and other securities regulatory bodies), KYC/AML, and litigation. The best candidate will be able to "wear many hats" and support other functions in the Legal organization such as the development of firm policies, and dealing with ad hoc legal issues such as protocol security. This role will be working on cutting-edge legal issues in a fast-paced environment, so candidates should not view this role as a "life>

NOTE: THIS JOB IS FULLY REMOTE, ALTHOUGH CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES.

• 6+ years of legal experience practicing law in a field involving the securities laws, with a preference for litigators. Several years at an AmLaw 100 or equivalent law firm is a hard requirement. In-house experience is not required.
• Strong academic record from a top law school
