Web3 Frontend Engineer

Our core technology – zkSync Era – is a layer 2 rollup that uses advanced cryptography called zero-knowledge proofs to scale Ethereum without compromising on security or decentralization. zkSync Era is EVM compatible, which means projects on Ethereum and other EVM-based blockchains can easily deploy on zkSync Era to take advantage of low gas fees and high transaction speeds.

With a total of $458 million in mission-driven funding, zkSync Era is the first EVM-compatible ZK Rollup to go live on testnet (February 2022) and be deployed on mainnet (October 2022). As we enter the endgame for Ethereum scaling, we are committed to full open source and building in public toward our stated mission [so that even if we fail, the community and the ecosystem will benefit from our contribution].

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining best-in-class user-focused Web3 applications 
• Actively collaborating with the team to solve complex architecture and UX problems
• Working closely with QA engineers to ensure quality control
• Participating actively in team stand-ups, discussions, and design sessions
• Leading the development and execution of key product features
• Leading and contributing to code reviews, ensuring high quality and maintainability of our codebase
• Keeping up to date with the blockchain ecosystem (and Ethereum specifically), and determining how these can be leveraged to benefit our users and improve our products

What We Look For In You

• At least 3 years experience working with JavaScript
• At least 1 year experience using TypeScript
• At least 1 year experience using Vue.js
• Hands-on experience using Nuxt.js framework or similar
• Hands-on experience using Vue 3
• Experience writing unit tests for scripts and components
• Hands-on experience building Web3 applications
• Hands-on experience using ethers.js or similar
• Advanced understanding of UX principles
• Understanding of best SEO practices
• Ownership and self-improvement mindset


Nice to have:
• Experience using Firebase platform
• Continuous integration / continuous delivery with GitHub actions
