Web3 Head of Product

Squads is a web3 platform that lets fans connect with their favorite creators to get exclusive access and unique experiences. The mission of Squads is to build a future where creators get paid for their content and fans get rewarded for supporting creators. The founding team includes 2 strong engineering leaders, a serial founder/CEO and 15 founding creators with over 100 million followers. Initial platform roll-out will be as soon as the f***ing app store lets us in.

Role

We are looking for a Head of Product to help turn our product passion and creator momentum into a process that delivers quality features quickly. We have an amazing (yet small) team and we’re looking for someone experienced in consumer product who can be a leader and work directly with our founders to implement new features in our mobile environment.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with large influencers and to get an insider's view on how an early stage, VC-funded business is run. We are looking for someone passionate and strong enough to contribute to our company's overall strategy and help drive its successful execution plus build a team around themselves if things go well.

As the head of product at Squads, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with our founders, our founding creators and our fan community to ensure a solid end-to-end strategy and execution. By joining our team, your skills will be front and center, working alongside a storied CTO and other passionate individuals to solve problems, foster community and build amazing software.

Responsibilities

• Gather and create detailed product requirements
• Own the product roadmap and cultivate it based on competing needs and priorities
• Talk to our creators and figure out product improvements that will make their lives better (if you’re open to it, this could potentially include coming on our creator trips)
• Be active in discord, learn from super users of our product
• Work with design and engineering teams to create new product screens and ensure quality control is upheld in the product
• Monitor data coming in through amplitude to understand areas of the product that need changes to enhance the user experience
• Work closely with founders, engineering, and strategy teams to manage priorities across the company
• Collaborate with marketing team to develop GTM strategies and launch campaigns around new features

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience doing product management
• Interest in/passion for web3 + helping creators
• Ability to have in-depth discussions with Software Engineers to ensure that product intentions and technical realities are aligned, emphasizing effective and collective decision making
• Expert at defining and explaining requirements for features to be designed by the design team and later developed by the Engineering team.
• Skilled at spotting the difference between great and mediocre UI and UX design
• Familiar with various tools and techniques to quickly test product ideas and iterate on them (such as Jira, Figma, OneSignal, Amplitude, A/B testing, etc.)
• Good communication skills, cross-departmental communication and coordination.
• Basic understanding of Blockchain Technology.
• Strong grasp of product analytics and an ability to read data on Amplitude or similar tools
