THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We are looking for an experienced, talented sales leader to grow the client-facing side of our organization. As we execute our go-to-market strategy, it's imperative that we find a global leader with the ability to define new processes, build new teams, and coach team members into excellence.

As the leader of our client-facing teams, you will establish the cultural foundation of how we treat our prospects and customers. You'll inspire the teams you build to continuously innovate to make our customers' lives better and create a culture that places clients at the center of what we do.

You will be an indispensable member of FPG's leadership team, contributing to defining goals, creating KPIs, and bringing accountability to our growth across geographies. You will have broad control over sales, onboarding, and account management teams and will be responsible for their success.

What you’ll be doing.

Driving Revenue

  • Take ownership of the company’s sales and revenue growth targets
  • Participate in the sales process for the most critical contracts
  • Be a recognizable face of the team to speak and represent the brand at conferences, events, and webinars

Team Building

  • Build a global sales team by owning the hiring of business development representatives and account executives
  • Build a sustainable coverage for clients through pods of account managers and customer service representatives
  • Design organization structures necessary for the sales, account management, and customer support
  • Create localized pods for sales and global coverage, starting with locations in New York, San Francisco, Singapore, and Europe.

Goals & Strategy

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define and set metrics for revenue and client retention
  • Represent customer insights on our products and our competitors in critical strategy decisions
  • Provide feedback to product management team as they prioritize what's next for our platform

Managing & Coaching

  • Day to day management, organization, and coordination across your teams
  • Coach sales team into strategic, nuanced ninjas of persuasion
  • Coach coverage team into thoughtful, expert, supportive anchors for our clients
  • Provide a last-line-of-defense that your teams can use for escalation when client interactions go wrong and the cavalry is needed!

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience building and leading global sales teams
  • Great understanding of equities, FX, commodities, derivatives, or prime brokerage
  • You’re really excited about cryptocurrency and seek out ways to grow your expertise in its cutting edge tech
  • Experienced working with startups or in an entrepreneurial setting
  • Solid understanding of compensation and incentives for sales and account management teams
  • You possess a toolkit of negotiation skills that you’ve honed through consistently closing large contracts
  • The scrappiness and unavoidable pairing of innovation and chaos that happens in startups is one of the most exciting aspects for you
  • You prioritize transparency and straight forward communication
  • You support distributed ownership, defaulting to team-led initiatives, as often as possible
  • You don’t take yourself too seriously

Our headquarter is in Hoboken, New Jersey. While you do not need to be in the office day-to-day, meetings with teams at the office are semi-frequent. If you do happen to live nearby (or wish to relocate!) then that would be very much welcomed. We’re building a fantastic working environment both in-person and remote.
