Role Summary

Within his/her area of coverage, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for delivering integrated HR solutions/interventions, that enable the business to meet/exceed its financial & operational targets, to address human performance issues, and to drive innovation & long-term business growth. The HRBP is responsible for facilitating collaboration within HR teams (COEs and SSC), and between HR and business units to deliver value-adding HR solutions. The HRBP possesses not only HR expertise, but also a deep understanding of the business, its objectives, its operations, and its current challenges and opportunities. Finally, within his/her area of coverage, the HRBP supports the implementation of company-wide goals such as company values & culture, employee engagement, coaching culture, performance management standards, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the business intimately – objectives, targets, performance issues, business priorities, and long-term opportunities, etc.
  • Through regular consultations and forward-thinking, identify opportunities for innovation, long-term growth, and competitive advantages for the business unit/s
  • Through regular consultations and systematic analysis, pinpoint the root causes of business issues and deliver the appropriate HR solution/s to the business unit/s
  • Conducts weekly meetings with respective departments/teams and align with the HR agenda.
  • Leverage people analytics to produce substantiated analysis, to make high-quality recommendations/decisions, and to develop solutions, programs and policies for the business unit/s
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to department heads and line managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, workforce planning, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance, interpretation and implementation.
  • Develops employee amendment advice for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  • Provides guidance and input on department/team re-structuring, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Optimize organization design to increase productivity and improve performance of specific department or team.
  • Develops reward and recognition programs and implement interventions to increase results and engagement.
  • Identifies training needs for departments/teams and individual coaching needs.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training development programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry, its business models, and competitive landscape
  • Fast learner who has commercial judgment, a positive attitude, and a passion to improve & overachieve
  • 3 to 5 years of demonstrated achievement in the HR function. HRBP experience w/a dynamic company an advantage
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines and facets including human performance gaps, organizational design, performance management, recruitment, employee relations, labor laws, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's structure, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with HRMS or related HR tools and software.

Nice to have

  • Experience in digital asset or financial services industries particularly in payments, remittance, mobile/web banking and cash management
  • Enthusiasm for trading cryptocurrencies, equities, or forex.
