Offchain Labs is building a suite of scaling solutions for Ethereum. This includes Arbitrum, an Optimistic Rollup, that instantly scales apps, reducing costs and increasing capacity, without sacrificing Ethereum's security. Porting contracts to Arbitrum requires no code changes or downloads since it’s compatible with existing Ethereum developer languages and tooling. Arbitrum today is the leading Ethereum scaling solution with dominant market share including hundreds of apps on the platform and over 50% of all rollup liquidity.

Your role at Offchain as an HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will support the employee lifecycle experience, inclusive of onboarding and offboarding new team members, supporting total rewards through benefits administration and leave support, maintaining the HRIS and PEO activity, training initiatives, and policy implementation. 
Successful candidates will also have experience managing immigration activity for the organization, and be able to adhere to, and implement, federal, state, and local laws.

Role and Responsibilities:

- New hire paperwork
o Supporting Recruitment team to generate employment paperwork
and confidentiality agreements for confirmed new hires for signing

- Support Onboarding and offboarding of new team members
o Coordinate with new hires ahead of their first day to ensure all onboarding tasks are completed
o Building welcome packets for new hires
o Evolving onboarding process and checklist refinement
o Managing exits and offboarding from tools and HRIS/PEO platforms
o Work with Operations manager to create and deactivate suite of tools used by team, depending on need
o Create and run onboarding orientations for new hires

- Manage HRIS and PEO information to ensure accuracy
o Inclusive of salary updates, promotions, and other important
employment information

- Support employee compliance training & development initiatives
o Work with HR lead to ensure compliance requirements for training are met
o Help implement training for new hires once launched team-wode

- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
o Be the knowledge hub for benefits and perks offered 
o Follow escalation path for HR grievances

- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies

- Undertake tasks around launching performance cycle on the HRIS and performance management for the organization
o Meet with all new hires to conduct 2-week check-in
o Work with HR lead to formalize the process for performance concerns
o Work directly with managers to initiate Performance Success Plans when required

- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
o Inclusive of generating employment verifications and letters for
salary increases and promotions

- Ensure compliance with labor regulations across global regions

Preferred Qualifications

    • BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field
    • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
    • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
    • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
    • Outstanding knowledge of G-Suite; HRIS systems (e.g. BambooHR, Papaya, Insperity) will be a plus
    • Excellent communication and people skills
    • Aptitude in problem-solving
    • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
    • Additional HR training will be a plus
