Web3 HR Business Partner (Bucharest)

The Role We’re looking for a People Business Partner to join our growing Romanian team! If you have at least 6 years of experience in a multi-functional HR role and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you’ll work closely with the People Ops Manager, gaining hands-on experience across various HR functions. We’re seeking someone who is proactive, adaptable, and ready to contribute strategically while executing day-to-day responsibilities. What You’ll Do

Onboarding & Off-boarding: Ensure a positive experience for new hires and a smooth transition for departing employees. Benefits Administration: Support local benefits programs, assist employees with inquiries, and facilitate enrollment processes. Leave Management: Handle leave requests in compliance with Romanian labor laws while ensuring employees feel supported. Performance Management: Contribute to the planning and execution of performance review and promotion cycles; provide guidance to managers on team development. Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, addressing employee concerns with care and professionalism. Payroll Coordination: Collaborate with local payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Compliance: Stay informed about Romanian labor laws and proactively recommend updates to keep processes compliant. HR Systems: Maintain and update HRIS to ensure data accuracy and support system implementations. Data & Reporting: Analyze HR data to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making. HR Projects: Participate in various HR initiatives to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.

What We’re Looking For

6+ years of experience in an HR role covering multiple functions (e.g., onboarding, compliance, performance management, employee relations), ideally in a startup or fast-growing environment. Strong understanding of Romanian labor laws and HR compliance, including REGES reporting, with the ability to monitor and adapt to regulatory changes proactively. Experience managing HRIS systems and generating data-driven insights to support decision-making. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and discretion in handling sensitive information. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, including experience collaborating with leadership to improve HR processes. Curious, eager to learn, and proactive about improving processes and systems. Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and Mac systems. Bonus: Experience with HR tools like Lattice, Deel or Tilt is a plus. English language proficiency is a must

Location This is a hybrid role based in our Bucharest office, requiring onsite presence 2-3 days per week.
