Gemini is a New York trust company that is subject to the capital reserve requirements, cybersecurity requirements, and banking compliance standards set forth by the New York State Department of Financial Services and the New York Banking Law. Gemini was founded in 2014 by twin brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss to empower the individual through crypto.

The Role: Manager, Product Design

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor and guide the work of other designers and product lines, delivering high-quality user experiences with measurable business value
• You will be a strategic partner to product stakeholders, including articulating the vision of the team as well as the integral role of user experience to the business
• Partner with product and tech leads to develop product strategy and align on solutions
• Be proactive in communicating with stakeholders, partner teams and management at the right level and times
• Be an advocate for the solutions and changes that prioritize and improve the user experience of our products
• Independently own your work from strategy through to detailed solutions
• Help to set the bar for product design within the team and company by creating exemplary work
• You care deeply about people, and are excited about investing in their growth and career development

Qualifications

• 7-10 years experience and a record of designing and shipping retail fintech or related products
• Can understand complex problems quickly and create simple solutions for them
• Can think broadly and strategically, but you can also focus on the details of a design
• Have a refined eye for layout, typography and patterns, even when working in wireframes
• Experience partnering with tech and product leads to drive product strategy
• Experience designing new products from scratch and iterating on existing features
• Can provide effective guidance to other designers while maintaining other responsibilities
• Can clearly communicate design thinking to collaborators and leadership with and without the use of presentations
• You are comfortable being a self-starter in a fast-moving work environment
